Our stand at LifeInstyle Melbourne August 2010. We got lots of new stockists, met tonnes of lovely felt lovers and had a great time! The idea was to across the point all of our range (16+ designs) can come in 20 colours! Taken on the new new (old) iPhone.

Back home West safely, having spruiked heartily our felt wares at the epic 4-day Design:Made:Trade event as part of Melbourne’s State of Design Festival. We met so many wonderful felt lovers, had heaps of fun, discovered Australia’s best dumplings (seriously awesome) and the best bit is we’re back there in 2 weeks for LifeInstyle! Here’s a picture of our stand – please excuse the lovely fugly recycled paper covered plinths… that was a last ditch effort at covering up the hideous black display stands we hired and instantly regretted. The deal was all 80 exhibitors got a 3×3 recycled cardboard stand to do with what they willed, we decided to go a lil’ spotty!

We, the crazy peeps at B&M Felt, have just (finally!) launched the Bug & Megs Retail Range and Webstore. B&M Felt has been providing Australian designers and crafters 100% wool felt for sometime now, and Bug & Megs is our own range of lifestyle products and accessories using our beloved material. All products are designed and handmade right here in Western Australia too. Bug & Megs Debut at Unwrapped 09

Our very own brand of felt products, Bug & Megs debuted at Leederville Unwrapped on Saturday!  While it was a sticky 40 degree Celsius day, Perth put on a great display of locally made and designed products of all shapes and sizes. ‘Bug & Megs‘ first series offered a range of wine caddies, Christmas Ornaments, tablewear (the city landmark coaster sets sold out!), iPhone cases and passport wallets along with handy take-home sized rolls of our famous 100% wool felt.
